About a month ago, Ed Jarecki sent me an email to invite me to be a guest on his podcast. I'm so glad I responded!
Ed hosts a podcast where professionals share how they define success (and how that definition has changed over time), how they overcome challenges, and the impact technical innovations have on businesses. Of course, everyone who attends has a different story and point of view on how they got where they are now. And he has dozens of these interviews on his channel. It's worth checking out.
Ed is a great host and an amazing human being. He does a lot of work in the community to support equitable and affordable housing. He also has an amazing amount of experience in the technology space, starting his career in TQM (total quality management). Today, he works with executives across the country to improve their business. And he stays current with technology approaches.
We had a delightful conversation about teams, collaboration, consensus building, AI/generative AI, innovation, customer relationships, and more. It was so much fun! I had a great time talking about these topics with him and sharing some stories, and then I got some time to talk about my favorite topic - listening! I truly believe that leaders could improve their businesses if they spent time listening to their employees and customers and accepting the messages they were told. And that last part - accepting the messages they hear - is the key to listening. We can all hear a message, but that doesn't mean that we accept someone's truth.
Anyway, enjoy the podcast! Happy listening!
